 GEN TRACK RULES

1.

A driver meeting will be held prior to each racing event. The flagman will conduct the meeting. It is mandatory that all drivers attend the meeting to familiarize themselves with the track rules.

2.

The start of a race is not official until all karts have completed (1) lap. Any accident that occurs involving more than (1) kart during the first lap will result in a complete re-start.

3.

There will only be (2) attempts to start a race. After (2) attempts have been made, it will be the flagman’s call if the field will go to a single file start or if the problem kart/karts will be put to the tail.

4.

Once your kart leaves the staging area for your race, you will not be allowed to do any maintenance work that involves tools on the track, or return to the staging area or pits for service. No use of weight adjusters will be allowed during a race or during a yellow flag, this includes turning of the chassis adjustments or moving spacers. Air pressure may be decreased provided no tools are used.

5.

If an incident occurs after the start of the race (rule 2) and any kart has stopped, bringing out a yellow caution flag, the kart/karts that caused the yellow will go to the rear of the field according to their position in the previous lap, provided they are still able to operate under their own power. All other karts will be lined up according to their positions in the previous completed lap.

6.

OUTLAW RE-STARTS ALLOWED.

7.

Youth class participants will be allowed to re-start their engines, or put chains back on (1) times under green flag conditions. Any kart re-starting an engine or replacing a chain will start on the rear of the field.

8.

If an incident (MOTOR DIES, ETC.) occurs under the yellow while the official is on the track, stopping karts to re-align the field, all karts will be allowed to re-start in their proper position without penalty. Provided they can re-start within (2) laps.

9. Black Flag -

Means you are disqualified! You must exit the track immediately. If you receive a safety black flag, during a heat race you will be placed at the rear of the field for the consi or feature race, during a feature you will be awarded points as to what position you were in when you were safety black flagged.

10.

All karts that are racing when a Red Flag incident occurs will be permitted to re-start their engines. Those karts causing the red flag will be permitted to re-start on the rear of the field. No mechanical work will be permitted during a red flag. Minor adjustments will be allowed to the karts involved in the incident, but no tools may be used. No karts will be allowed to enter the pits and then return to the track.

11.

12.

If a yellow flag incident takes place during the white flag lap, karts will be positioned according to (rule 5). Upon the re-start, karts will take (1) green flag, (2) then white flag, (3) then the checkered flag. This Restart will only be done one time. Another caution after this restart will result in race finishing under caution.
Any kart involved in or causing (2) yellow or (2) red flags will be disqualified from the race.

13.

If a red flag incident takes place during the white flag lap, the race is over. Scoring will revert to the previous lap, consisting of - placing the red flag involved karts to the rear of the field according to their position in the previous lap.

14.

In the event a driver is involved in a red flag accident, he/she will not be permitted to continue racing until released by the medical technician on duty and the kart deemed safe by the tech personnel.

15.

When the karts have left the staging area, karts will take one (1) lap before starting the race; the race will start at the marked cone. If all karts are not together at the cone, it will be the flagman’s decision to put them to the tail. The only exception to this rule will be the 10Hp Star and the Open classes. In the event that all karts scheduled on the line-up board are not on the track, karts will move directly forward. There will be no criss-crossing of the line-up during heat or feature races.

16.

It is the intent of this association to provide family entertainment. 28.
